Southwest Chess

The Colorado Springs Chess Club meets on Tuesday evenings for Over-The-Board chess. Our main location is the ballroom of the Acacia Apartment Building at 104 E. Platte Avenue, just north of Acacia Park. The ballroom opens about 6:00 pm. Event registration ends about 6:45 pm, with event play starting at 7:00 pm.

In addition to our regular site, the club hosts a variety of chess events on different nights of the week in different locations.

Where Strategy Meets Community

At Strategic Minds Chess Academy, we offer group classes, private lessons, and a dynamic community experience for players of all ages and skill levels. Members enjoy the opportunity to play onsite, receive real-time coaching feedback, and access a rich suite of training tools, including advanced study software, curated puzzles, and interactive learning modules.

The Summit School of Chess offers premiere chess coaching and online chess instruction for all ages.

Their goal is to teach children in grades K-12 abstract concepts of planning, analysis and strategy through the game of chess.
