Southwest Chess

Chess Club meets on Mondays at 6pm at Your Pie Pizza (2619 South Woodlands Village Boulevard, Ste. 650, Flagstaff, AZ 86001) and Thursdays at 7pm at Beaver Street Brews and Cues (11 S. Beaver St., Flagstaff, AZ 86001) All ages and skill levels are welcome, just walk up to a table of chess players and ask to play the winner. Most games are of the speed chess type (5 to 15 minutes long), though some players prefer more relaxed games and do not use clocks.

Chess Meet Every Saturday 10am to 1pm at Mayan Winds Coffee Emporium. Chess players, families and friends are welcome.

Free and open to the public, the Fountain Hills Chess Club meets every Tuesday at Batchelor's Pad BBQ at 5:30 p.m., where chess is played over beer and brisket. Boasting over 50 members, Crumbie invites anyone interested in the game of chess to join the club regardless of age or experience.

We meet every Sunday for some Chess. All rating levels are welcome! CJ is your host at this location to make in-person chess games more accessible to Northwest Valley players! If you have a board and/or a clock, please bring them. If not, no problem. Show up as you are! CJ and the other regulars have a board and clock as well. As always, show up at any time and do whatever makes you feel comfortable: watch, play, learn. Just be sure to patronize the venue with a drink or snack purchase, and remember, the chess pieces are as scared of you as you are of them! Prescott area chess players are meeting at the Pine Ridge Marketplace (formerly Gateway Mall) Food Court on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. Anyone interested in chess is welcome.

This is an informal chess meet-up to play both blitz and slow chess. There are players of all levels, ranging from beginners to experts. Anyone is welcome to join. The Ventura County Chess Club has been providing chess services continuously to the public for more than 60 years. We meet Monday nights at 6:45 at Grace Lutheran Church, 6190 Telephone Road, across from the Ventura County Government Center. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Chess playing supplies provided.

Currently, the games are not USCF rated. Although we plan on offering rated games in the near future.

Time: 6:30pm-9pm We will have chess boards available, but feel free to bring your own if you have one! We typically play both regular untimed and timed chess games, with the occasional variant thrown in (bughouse, 4-player chess). Please remember to RSVP if you will be going, so that other members know the group size!

Meets every Wednesday night at 7:00PM in Whataburger by the HEB on Trimmier Road. They welcome players of all ages and skill levels and offer casual play, lessons, and tournaments.
