The Berkeley Chess School’s chess programs are designed for beginning, intermediate and advanced students of all ages. They provide a rigorous training in chess while making the process fun, with skilled and engaging instructors and an eye toward personal growth. The Berkeley Chess School offers chess instruction to K-12 students in over 150 schools throughout the Bay Area. We offer after school classes as well as chess in the classroom during the school day.

The Clovis Chess Club invites players of all skill levels to join us, free of charge. We gather every Thursday from 5PM to 9:30PM at the Carl's Jr. on Shaw/Willow in Clovis, CA. Chess Player and Tournament Director

Jake Nemeth discovered his passion for chess at the age of 4 and has since developed into a skilled player with a USCF rating around 1700-1800. Motivated by a desire to uphold fair play and enforce regulations, Jake embarked on his journey as a tournament director in October 2023.

Driven by his goals, Jake actively organizes local tournaments to accumulate the necessary experience and credits required for overseeing higher-level competitions in the future. Through his dedication and commitment, Jake Nemeth continues to make significant strides towards his aspirations within the chess community.
