ASU Spring 2025 Championship
The ASU Chess Club in conjunction with SouthwestChess.com will be having its ASU Spring Championship on April 19th, 2025 inside the Memorial Union 2nd Fl ballroom.

Description
USCF Dual-rated 4 round Swiss.
Time control: G/45;+5s.
Round times: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM.
Sections: U1400, 1400-1699, 1700-1999, 2000+ (Open)
Players within 100 rating points of another section can pay $5 to play up (ex. 1600 can play-up in 1700-1999).
Pairings and prizes based on USCF April monthly supplement.
Schedule
Round 1: 9:00 AM
Round 2: 11:00 AM
Round 3: 1:00 PM
Round 4: 3:00 PM
Players can take a maximum of 2 half-point byes. Half-point byes must be requested no later than 30 minutes before rounds 1/2. Half-point byes for rounds 3/4 must be requested before the start of round 2 and cannot be changed after the start of round 2.
On-site registration after 8:30 AM will be given a round 1 bye.

Early: $25 by Mon April 14th, 11:59 PM MST.
Regular: $30 by Fri April 18th, 11:59 PM MST.
On-site: $35 on Sat April 19th.

No prize deduction if entered on or before April 14th, 2025.
$25 deducted from prize winnings if entered after April 14th, 2025.
Prizes
For each section, based on 20 entries:
1st – $125 (25% of entry fee)
2nd – $90 (18% of entry fee)
3rd – $50 (10% of entry fee)
